This retreat is a five-night immersion in the serene Portuguese countryside, offering you a thoughtfully crafted sanctuary for inner exploration, where silence becomes the foundation of transformation.

We have personally experienced how daily challenges and our current overstimulating society make it increasingly difficult to remain aligned to our inner wisdom.

Nurturing a space of reconnection is no longer a luxury associated to free time, rather it is an essential condition to act according to our own truth.

Through this special retreat, we have decided to share such sacred space of self-care. Through guided practices, music and movement, participants are gently encouraged to delve into and integrate what arises within them on this journey to reconnect to self.

The Silent Movement Retreat is a safe container to unwind and explore in a hidden gem in the Portuguese countryside.

*This is a substance-free retreat. Wifi will not be available during the three days of silence.
*Silence will be observed between the 2nd and 5th day where the wifi will not be available.

The place

Villa Pedra is a serene retreat on the slopes of the Sicó mountain range, offering a harmonious blend of tradition and luxury. This restored haven, reborn in 2009, features beautifully reconstructed limestone houses that preserve the area’s cultural heritage.

Villa Pedra exudes tranquility and elegance, with suites, living and dining rooms, central heating, fireplaces, and fully equipped kitchens. Guests can enjoy spacious bathrooms, private terraces, and gardens with tables, armchairs, hammocks, and sun loungers.

Spanning over three hectares, the estate features olive groves, lush gardens, a meditation pavilion, communal areas and an outdoor pool. At Villa Pedra, serenity and well-being are paramount. Guests can unwind by reading, listening to music, swimming in the saltwater pool, or basking in the warmth of a fireplace. Experience the privilege of rest and relaxation in this idyllic sanctuary.

Meet the practitioners

Paula has been practicing yoga since her teens, using it as a tool to navigate life’s joys and challenges. Her teaching blends movement, breathwork, chanting, focusing on process and honoring the body’s innate wisdom. She is the founder of The Community, an online yoga studio with 300+ classes and live gatherings, and Tiny&Vast, a 50-hour advanced training program for yoga teachers. Now living in Portugal, she draws inspiration from her daughters and her love for cold-water swimming and Capoeira Angola.
Igor Olivier Ezendam is a seasoned sound healer specializing in Soundmassage, combining didgeridoo, overtone singing, and percussion to promote deep relaxation, emotional release, and energy flow. His intuitive, compassionate approach guides individuals toward healing, self-discovery, and spiritual alignment. Through workshops and individual sessions, Igor helps participants unlock the transformative power of sound, fostering a profound connection to their inner selves.
Mark is a creator of transformative spaces, where movement and music guide individuals on personal journeys. With a deep connection to QiGong and Tai-Chi, he has honed his skills under various masters, while his passion for dance has led him to explore ecstatic dance and the 5Rhythms practice. Now incorporating DJ-led musical journeys, Mark blends sound and movement to craft immersive, soul-stirring experiences, sharing the transformative power of these practices with others.
Laetitia Gartenmann is a DJ and facilitator of free dance sessions, blending her deep musical background with a passion for healing. With 20 years of experience as a classical cellist, she now explores the power of sound and frequencies in ceremonial settings, using music as a transformative tool for healing and self-discovery. Laetitia’s work bridges the worlds of classical music and modern soundscapes, creating unique experiences that invite participants to connect deeply with themselves and the energy around them.
Marco is a lifelong seeker with a deep passion for uncovering ancient wisdom. From a young age, he has immersed himself in embodiment practices, including dance and martial arts, to cultivate a harmonious mind-body connection. Bridging Eastern and Western philosophies, Marco is dedicated to creating transformative spaces that inspire inner exploration and personal growth. As the space holder, he will guide the experience, offering support and holding space for participants as they embark on their own journeys of discovery.
